Converting Decimals to Percentage
We have seen how fractions can be converted to per cents. Let us now find how decimals can be converted to per cents.
Example-4
1.Convert the given decimals to per cents:
(a) 0.75
- We have
0.75 =(Enter fraction form) - Multiply the decimal with
which gives us the percentage of % - Solving we get
- Hence
0.75 isto 75%.
(b) 0.09
- We have
0.09 =(Enter fraction form) - Multiply the decimal with
which gives us the percentage of % - Solving we get
- Hence
0.09 isto 9%.
(c) 0.2
- We have
0.2 =(Enter fraction form) - Multiply the decimal with
which gives us the percentage of % - Solving we get

0.2 isto 20%.
