Chapter 8: Data Handling > What Have We Discussed

What Have We Discussed

1. We have learned that is a collection of numbers gathered to convey information.

2. To quickly extract specific information from a given dataset, we can organize the data in a tabular format using marks.

3. We have explored how a pictograph represents data using pictures, objects, or parts of objects. Additionally, we have learned to interpret pictographs and answer related questions. We have also created pictographs using symbols to represent specific quantities. For example: 📗 = 100 books.

4. We have discussed how data can be represented using a bar diagram or bar graph. In a bar graph, bars of uniform width are drawn either horizontally or vertically with spacing between them. The length of each bar corresponds to the respective frequency.
